Brief Resume

Employed by İ.T.Ü. Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics since 1991,   Assistant Professor in 1999, Associate Professor in 2000, and Professor in 2009.  Worked as a consulting and development engineer for CFD software in Technalysis Inc.  Indianapolis, IN, USA between 1993-1995.  Visiting researcher at Old Dominion University, Batten College of Engineering, Norfolk, VA, USA in summer  2002 and 2003.  Performed research on microflows and micro-synthetic jets.   He has completed various, educational, consulting and application projects for local ind international industry.  His current research focuses on aerodynamics of flapping wings, micro air vehicles, simulation of rarefied and micro flows.  In addition to various aerospace related projects, he has participated and completed a number of industrial aerodynamics applications including, aerothermal analyses for electronic device cabinets and command control center, cladding wind load calculations for high rise buildings, vertical wind tunnel design, near ground wind simulator for helicopter simulators,  turbomolecular pump design using in house DSMC simulation software,  thermal analysis and optimization of heat exchanger.  He has served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Vice Chair of Astronautics Department, member of Faculty Board and member of various faculty comissions.
